About Unamit

Unamit Cairns is wholly owned by Peter Tolputt, a highly skilled, qualified, precision machinist.

Peter has supplied aluminium and bronze castings for all of Laurie Hall's faceting machines for over 33 years.

He has supplied machined cast items to the Royal Australian Navy for navy vessels that have had a one

hundred percent acceptance rate and an astonishing zero percent failure rate after twenty years of service

life!. Peter has also supplied items to the Australian Army and to other customers in fields as diverse as

maritime, mining, power generation and aviation industries.
